Miriam Foundation Benefit. Golf + Chic Dinner

Under a sheltering summer sky, an art- and antiques-lover /collector and gracious philanthropist hosted a private cocktail/dinner in his home-on-the-hill. It was held after the Miriam Foundation Lori Black Memorial Golf Tournament, played during the day at Hillsdale Golf and Country Club with 192 keen players. Committee members contributing to the event’s success were Herbert Black, Honourary Chair; Norman Bercovitch, Chair and Yanick Blanchard.

Boomers. Save Face.

This is an era when celebrities  - not to mention models – are feeling the pressure to look ‘refreshed’.  As are many of us ‘dull normal’ men and women. Pharma and medical professions have responded.  Ads for Botox appear on store front windows – if not the back of buses. And beauty products offer hope – often using models under 20 years of age. A major reaction to the huge choice of ‘anti-aging’ products available?  Most people are confused. Glycolic acid? Retinol? Botox? Will that product showing a spotted egg beside a smooth, white one work on my sun spots? We chatted with Medical Esthetician Lisa Best at PEAU BOUTIQUE.
