Cool Closing of Impressionist Show at Montreal’s MMFA

What a fun idea!  A double-barrelled moment. Or possibly triple. The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts invited BYT (Beautiful Young Things) to view the closing days of the Impressionist exhibit, works from the Sterling Clark collection – gorgeous gems amassed by Sterling Clark . The Singer Sewing Machine heir and his actress wife acquired them over the years, being lucky/astute enough to find some of the best and the brightest: Renoir, Goya, Degas, Monet, Manet…

Montreal Museum Fine Arts Gala is Gorgeous

Fifty shades of black ball gowns were noted at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) ball. Presented by the Volunteer Association of the MMFA, Le Bal des Lumières  was held in the Jean-Noel Desmarais Pavilion this year, as the older section of the MMFA, the one with the wonderful ‘make a grand entry’  staircase, is hosting an exhibit of Impressionist works. Designer Scott Yetman created a dazzling décor, with sparkling effects and a loungey-South-Beach mood. Continue reading
